Estuary (PJ Fossum/Judette Elliston/Sergio Tabanico)

Estuary (PJ Fossum/Judette Elliston/Sergio Tabanico)

Estuary is an intimate musical exchange between vocalist Judette Elliston (HT/US) and pianist PJ Fossum (CA/DK). This collaboration envelopes the listener in a tapestry of soaring melodies and lush harmony. Meeting as music students in New York, Elliston and Fossum created Estuary to explore musical symbiosis and reciprocity in the vocalist-pianist relationship. Their musical constellation draws from the artistry of Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and Billy Strayhorn, seamlessly blending sincere melodies with free-flowing improvisation.

Joining Estuary for their Danish tour, is saxophonist Sergio Tabanico who met PJ and Judette in NYC. Born in Tuscon. Sergio moved to New York in 2015 where he now resides. He has toured and recorded with other rising stars in New York including Joel Ross, Immanuel Wilkins, Wynton Marsalis, Adam O’Farrill, Slauson Malone, Nick Hakim, June Mcdoom and more. His free yet melodic playing style blends seamlessly with Estuary and provides a counter-point to Elliston’s voice.
